Forecourt Trader Awards

Forecourt Trader Awards

Our Ludlow store is celebrating the scooping of two top prizes at the 2009 Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards. Tuffin’s at Ludlow carried off the ‘Best Main Route Site in the UK award’ and also won the category of ‘Best Main Route Independent Dealer in UK with up to nine sites’.

No stranger to success, our Ludlow store won the same two categories in 2007; the same year that it was named NISA Store of the year (under 3000 sq ft).

The award scheme, which was celebrating its 11th anniversary this year, recognises and rewards the hard work and skills of petrol retailers particularly highlighting the businesses that have shown high standards in an increasingly competitive sector.

Judges said they were particularly impressed with our range of goods on offer, prices, the layout and management as well as the staff knowledge and courtesy at the petrol station which deals with an average of 15,000 customers a week.

The awards were picked up on behalf of Harry Tuffins by our joint Chairperson Mrs Ruby Delves, our MD Mr Paul Delves and Ludlow Store Manager Ed Prosser who collected the award on stage at the presentation event held at London's Park Lane Hilton on September 24. Edward said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won the two titles for a second year. It is a reflection of the work and effort we have put into providing a value for money local service. We didn't enter in 2008 because we were having an extra fuel pump lane put in and a glass atrium at the entrance to the store to further improve the service to customers. To win for the two years we've entered is amazing”.
